What happened

The Italian event took place at the Golden Theatre in Palermo, during the end-of-year show the school organises every year with another school of the city: a large and varied audience, in an informal setting. After the welcome address by the school leadership and the project coordination, a group of students who had taken part in the mobilities came on stage to share the activities carried out with the partner schools, the people they met and life in the host countries, and above all what the experience left them: greater self-confidence, more confident English, a deeper awareness of inclusion and diversity, new friendships across Europe.

Programme

  1. Welcome by the school leadership and the project coordination
  2. Testimonies on stage by the students of the mobilities
  3. End-of-year show of the two schools

What participants took away

An online survey collected feedback on the evening, the project results and the platform. The students' testimonies were described as sincere and moving; several parents would like their children to join future mobilities and teachers asked how to get involved in Erasmus+ and in the inclusive practices developed within the project. Participants suggested further sharing moments, workshops for teachers and families, and continuing the collaboration between the two schools.
